Did anyone watch the Super Bowl on the weekend? I’m not a hardcore football fan but what I do love about the Super Bowl is the food! That’s why I created this Matcha Guacamole recipe. No Super Bowl party is complete without guacamole. This luscious, creamy avocado dip is filled to the brim with healthy ingredients. Avocados are such a good source of healthy fats and a good vegan option for the omega 3 fatty acid – Alpha-Linolenic acid. Omega 3s not only keep your brain and heart healthy but they are good for your skin and eyes. (Not that you’ll need an excuse to devour this matcha guacamole). Matcha is also loaded with antioxidants, such as Catechins that keep you looking youthful and feeling energized.
The matcha and avocado flavors blend really well in this guacamole recipe. The lemon juice and cayenne pepper also help bring out the refreshing quality of the matcha. When I eat guacamole, I like to keep the recipe simple so as not to overpower the subtle flavors. However, please feel free to add in your favorites such as tomatoes, cilantro or red onion.
This matcha guacamole recipe is ‘super’ easy and will definitely be a regular for many Super Bowl parties to come!
