About the product
Using only the first flush green tea of Kagoshima, Chiran region. Although the leaves are stored in low temperature storage, they will still mature in its aging process little by little. As the time pass, the freshness of new leaves fade, but the flavor gets more intense.
“Flush” refers to the time of the year the tea leaves were picked. First flush refers to the very first harvest of the year, which happens in spring (late April to May).
In addition to Catechin, which fights against oxidization and infection, and lowers lipid in blood, green tea has much more health benefits and contains various vitamins such as vitamin c, vitamin B12, vitamin E, folic acid and B carotene, various minerals such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and manganese, as well as GABA which lowers blood pressure, saponin which fights agaist aging, chlorophyll which supresses breath odor among others.
How to prepare
To brew tea for 2-3 people, pre-warm the teapot and teacups by putting some hot water. Put the hot water back into pot. Put about a tablespoon of green tea leaves into a pot, followed by 170 ~ 200ml at the temperature of about 80 ℃. Let it steep for about 60 seconds. Pour the tea into the teacups down to the last drop so the subsequent pot(s) of tea will have good flavor and less bitterness.
