About the product
The bagels are boiled before baking, giving them a feeling of substance as well as a pleasingly springy texture. These two kinds of berries contain marvelous functional nutrients (resveratrol, proanthocyanin).
Though some of their nutrients are lost in the drying process, dried blueberries and cranberries are both still quite healthful to eat. Cranberries contain antioxidants, and dried blueberries contain some calcium and vitamin C.
How to prepare
Can be defrosted at room temperature in 3 to 4 hours. Once defrosted, the bagels can be eaten just as they are; but if warmed slightly they will become even more delicious. Microwave: Remove the bagels from their outer bag, wrap them individually in plastic wrap, and microwave approximately as follows. In a 500W or 600W microwave, warm one bagel for 20 seconds and two bagels for 30 seconds. Toaster oven: Remove the bagels from their outer bag, and warm lightly in a 1000W toaster oven for 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds. The bagels should be watched while in toaster oven. Example use: Fruit sandwich: ① Once the bagels have defrosted, slice them in halves and toast them lightly. ② Spread with acacia honey (item #6286) and add your favorite fruits.
