Using the latest cutting-edge technology, equipment, and techniques, the team at Akai Medical Clinic aims to provide high quality beautifying medical treatments that will satisfy their patients. Each patient is treated gently, counseled every step of the way, and only recommended changes that absolutely suit the patient’s lifestyle and needs. In addition to treatments and surgery, Akai Medical Clinic also offers highly effective prescription-only skin care products, including their own original line of products.
Akai Medical Clinic is located in Omotesando, Tokyo, conveniently near Harajuku and Omotesando Stations. Their facilities are impeccably clean and very spacious. The interior is elegantly decorated with wood and natural materials including washi (Japanese traditional paper) and paulownia, giving off the feeling of warmth and relaxation. In addition, Akai Medical Clinic’s treatment rooms – a place usually associated with being inorganic and sterile – have been purposely designed to create an environment that soothes the patient and relieves stress; patients can feel at ease in an open atmosphere with sunlight shining down from skylights under a high ceiling. All procedures are guaranteed safe and have been approved by the scientific community; only “evidence-based medicine” is practiced at the clinic. Dr. Hidemi Akai is a board-certified plastic surgeon who trained at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, and is currently an associate professor in the department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Showa University in Tokyo.
