English-speaking primary care doctor – International Healthcare Clinic in Tokyo
Conveniently located just four minutes away from Shinbashi station in Tokyo is International Health Care Clinic, headed by an English-speaking primary care doctor.
It is refreshing to find a completely bilingual clinic in Japan. All of the staff, from the receptionist, nurses and doctor speak fluent English and have experience living, working and studying outside of Japan. Their obvious team approach to patient care is comforting for all who visit, especially for patients from overseas who are more accustomed to a consultative approach from their primary care doctor.
The clinic is headed by Dr. Mika Washio, an English-speaking primary care doctor who became interested in medicine at an early age, influenced by her father, a well-known psychiatrist in the Kansai area.
After graduating from Osaka Medical University, she has worked at both a general hospital and university hospital in Japan gaining extensive experience with the treatment of numerous diseases as well as a focus on psychiatric disorders and treatment. Dr. Washio has also lived in Canada for about two years and upon returning to Japan she worked as a physician for the international transport of patients.
