Dr. Kubota specialized in breast reconstruction for many years before switching to skincare after seeing the dermatologic progress in Malaysia. (She still arranges counseling for breast cancer patients, however.) Studying under Dr. Zein Obagi she got into laser epilation at Kanagawa Clinic, then Japan’s biggest cosmetic surgical clinic, where she came to cover hundreds of thousands cases of laser epilation as a consultant. She has treated thousands of patients with skin rejuvenation, lasers for hair removal, and other methods, including Botox.
Dr. Kubota uses the Laser Genesis™ skin therapy method—which is typically for skin rejuvenation but is also effective for easing pain in the muscles and joints as well as atopic dermatitis (atopy) and scars—and the TITAN™ laser for tightening the skin. She also does conventional surgery onsite on moles, tumors, drooping eyelids, scars and other skin aberrations. Dr. Kubota and her three nurses are also trained in a highly effective German method for treating ingrown nails. She is fluent in English, as is one of her nurses, and one receptionist speaks French. She treats both children and adults. The clinic is open on weekends.
