About the product
These Irish Cobbler potatoes have been skinned, then steamed whole and die-cut into 50g pieces before being frozen. All they need is to be cooked briefly in the microwave, and can then be used in salads, croquettes, and all manner of other dishes. No time-consuming scrubbing, peeling, eye-removing, or baking required!
How to prepare
Take the pieces of potato from their package without defrosting, lay them out on a plate, cover the plate with plastic wrap, and microwave approximately as follows: In a 500W microwave, cook two pieces for 2 minutes 30 seconds, and four pieces for 4 minutes. In a 600W microwave, cook two pieces for 2 minutes 10 seconds, and four pieces for 3 minutes 20 seconds. These cooking times may be used for reference, but actual cooking times may vary depending on the model and size of microwave as well as on the number of pieces of potato being cooked. Please adjust cooking times accordingly. The potato, plate, and wrap may be very hot after microwaving. Please use caution to avoid burns.When combined with mayonnaise and a few other vegetables, these potatoes can be quickly made into a potato salad. They can be mashed and eaten with gravy or used as filling for croquettes, or left as die-cut pieces and used as an ingredient in soups. Potatoes are also a popular component in a variety of recipes from around the world, including Japanese-style curries, Indian Khatte Aloo, and Tex-Mex breakfast burritos.
