About the product
Using the King of sweet potato, Naruto Kintoki, this Daigaku Imo is crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.
Japanese sweet potatoes (Satsuma imo) are high in Vitamin C, potassium, and fiber and also provide Vitamin A (beta carotene), B vitamins (vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, folate, niacin, Pantothenic acid, biotin), vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, and phosphorus. It has the twice as much fiber as regular brown potatoes, however it also has twice as much sugar and carbohydrates as the regular pototoes.
Due to the high potassium content in the sweet potatoes, people with weakened kidney function should take caution when eating sweet potatoes or should not eat excessively to avoid hyperkalemia.
How to prepare
Thaw at room temperature or in microwave.Enjoy after thawing at room temperature (20 to 30 minutes). Heating time may vary depending on the model of microwave oven and the quantity. Please adjust the heating time accordingly. The flavor may be impacted by excessive heating. Please take caution when serving it warm as it may get very hot. To serve warm, transfer the frozen contents as is, to a microwave-safe plate and microwave it based on the following heating time guidelines without the wrap covering. (500W) 100g / 1 minutes and 20 seconds, 300g / 2 minutes (600W) 100g / 1 minute, 300g / 1 min 30 seconds.
