About the product
A well-loved staple condiment that has come to be a common sight at yakiniku (grilled meat) and Korean restaurants, and that any dining table in Korea is sure to never be without.
Seasonings such as condiments can be a crucial part of a meal, turning plain food into a delicious experience. After all, sometimes we only think we don’t like certain foods because we haven’t tried them with the right seasoning! Sugarlady’s gochujang and other seasoning products are safe and free of chemical seasonings and additives, letting the true, natural flavors of the ingredients themselves shine – and allowing you to enjoy your meal without worry.
Many other similar commercially available products add umami using amino acids, or increase viscosity using polysaccharide thickeners.
How to prepare
Gochujang can be mixed with yakiniku sauce, used with fresh vegetables, or used in making bibimbap, sukiyaki, Korean-style nikujaga, stews, stir-fries, ramen, and other foods. Just the right level of spicy, the gochujang serves to enhance these dishes’ flavors.Nikujaga comprises primarily of potatoes, but also includes meat, onions, soy sauce, and other ingredients; and sukiyaki is a hot pot dish. Bibimbap is a Korean dish comprising of rice, vegetables, sauce, and sometimes meat or egg. Because all three of these dishes are relatively easy to whip up, they are quite popular to make at home in Japan and Korea; making gochujang an indispensable sauce to keep around!
