About the product
This mixture of shimeji, shiitake, oyster, and white mushrooms comes pre-washed and ready to use, saving you pre-meal prep time. Fresh mushrooms damage easily and can go bad quickly, making them difficult to have on hand; but since our mushroom mix is already frozen you never need to worry about running out!
Mushrooms are a healthy and versatile ingredient that are used in dishes from around the world, from stir-fries to pizza and spaghetti. White mushrooms contain copper, phosphorus, and vitamins B2 and B5, and oyster mushrooms contain a variety of nutrients including zinc, iron, and potassium.

How to prepare
When using the mushrooms, you can take out the portion you need without defrosting the package. The mushrooms can be used frozen when making stir-fry, soup, or takikomi gohan. For takikomi gohan, a traditional Japanese dish consisting of rice mixed with mushrooms, vegetables, and other ingredients, cook the mushrooms and other components first and then place them on top of uncooked rice in your rice cooker. Once the rice finishes cooking, gently mix everything together. For pizza, gratin, or spaghetti, sauté the mushrooms lightly and let some of their liquid evaporate before adding. Mushrooms can also be used in place meat products to make delicious and savory vegan gravy.
