About the product
This sweet and sour pork is hand-made by chefs who specialize in Sichuan cuisine. Sichuan, which is located in southwest China, is world-famous for its flavorful and spicy food. This item lives up to the region’s reputation for rich flavor, but is spiced mildly and contains no garlic; making it perfect for those who love Sichuan cooking but prefer that their food not be too hot.
This sweet and sour pork is made with domestically produced black vinegar, and prepared in such a way that the textures of the vegetable ingredients remain intact even after freezing and defrosting.
Black vinegar has more amino acids than most rice vinegars or grain vinegars, and because its sourness is relatively mild it is also popular as a drinking vinegar.
How to prepare
Heat the sweet and sour pork (still frozen, still in its bag) in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes. Then, simply pour into a bowl, allow to cool, and serve! This item is perfect for busy days when you’re craving Sichuan-style Chinese cooking but don’t have the time to prepare something from scratch. Because it comes frozen and can be stored for up to 12 months, it is easy to have on hand without any worries about the meat or vegetables spoiling!
