About the product
These Naruto Kintoki-variety Satsuma sweet potatoes have been cut into bite-sized pieces and flavored with fragrant sesame. The Naruto Kintoki variety of Satsuma sweet potato is a mutation of the Kokei 14 variety. It has vibrant scarlet skin, translucent-looking golden flesh, and an elegant sweetness. Naruto refers to the part of Japan’s Tokushima Prefecture where this sweet potato is from, and Kintoki refers to the golden color of this sweet potato’s flesh.
There are about 40 cube-shaped pieces of sweet potato per 300g. Satsuma sweet potatoes make a great addition to curries, stews, and a variety of other dishes. Because these satsuma sweet potatoes have been cut into cubes and are naturally sugary, they can even be added frozen to a bento box and eaten as a dessert.
Sugarlady’s produce is harvested in season and then frozen immediately in order to ensure the highest possible nutritional value and best flavor, and remains vibrant and undamaged when frozen for long periods.
