About the product
Gyudon is a Japanese dish consisting of a bowl of rice topped with cooked and seasoned beef and onions. Though it may sound very traditional, it actually originated during the Meiji Restoration in the mid-1800s!
This item is about 1/3 beef, 1/3 onions, and 1/3 tare sauce. It was created with kids’ tastes in mind, and is somewhat sweet. The slices of beef are 1.5mm thick.
Sugarlady’s frozen dishes are quick and easy to prepare, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods even on the busiest of days! Because the beef and onions come pre-cut and seasoned, there is no messy cleanup and no need to worry about washing the onion scent off of cutting boards or hands.
How to prepare
To boil in bag: Place the gyudon ingredients (still frozen, still in their bag) in boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes, then pour them atop warm rice and enjoy. Because this item requires no prep time, it makes a great after-school or after-work dinner.Notes: If the bag touches the rim of the pot, or if the bag is sticking out or hanging out of the pot, the bag can melt and develop holes. Please boil with care. When opening the bag, please use plenty of caution as the contents will have become very hot.
