About the product
The gizzard slices were cut to 4 mm widths, then lightly seasoned and roasted.
Gizzards are rich in nutrients, low in fat and a good source of protein. Gizzards are a good source of in iron, niacin and riboflavin. Iron can be found in your body’s cells. It is necessary to produce blood cells and hemoglobin and myoglobin. These proteins carry oxygen throughout your body. Niacin also helps with blood circulation, as well as produce stress and sex hormones in the adrenal glands. Niacin helps maintain healthy hair, skin, liver and eyes while also supporting the immune system, just as riboflavin.
How to prepare
Please thaw in the refrigerator. If you are in a hurry to defrost, you may place the bag under running water to thaw. When thawing under water, the water should be slightly cool to the touch. Leave the meat under the water until it has completely thawed. The water does not need to run rapidly- a steady stream would do to defrost your appetizer gizzards. Due to the lack of coloring agents and dyes, the product may show some discoloring that is not cause for concern.
