About the product
Gomoku sushi is loose sushi rice mixed with sushi ingredients, and is extremely popular for home cooking. Once this bag of ingredients is defrosted, all you need to do is to mix it with sushi rice to make your own Gomoku sushi! The name “gomoku” appears to indicate that there are five ingredients in this dish, but really you can add as many additional ingredients as you wish!
In order to highlight the inherent flavors of each of our ingredients, we seasoned them separately before mixing them together and rapidly freezing them.
How to prepare
To defrost: Can be defrosted in the refrigerator. If you need the ingredients defrosted more quickly, remove the outer bag and place the inner bag (still closed) beneath running water. To eat: First, cook two containers of rice until the rice becomes a little firm. Then mix 40mL of sushi vinegar or awasezu (3 tablespoons vinegar, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons sugar) into the rice in order to make it into sushi rice. Then, mix in the Gomoku sushi ingredients once they have defrosted, and…you’re done! (We recommend taking out the snow peas to use as a decoration). If you add some of your own favorite ingredients (omelet cut into thin strips, shredded nori seaweed, fried eel, sushi shrimp), your Gomoku sushi will become even more delicious! You can also use Gomoku sushi as stuffing for inari sushi (fried tofu pockets).
