About the product
This ankake sauce is made with thinly sliced pork and bamboo shoots and flavored with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and other ingredients. Ankake is one of the most popular types of chukadon (Chinese-style) rice bowl dishes, along with gomoku (mixed ingredients atop rice) and ebidon (rice bowl topped with shrimp).
Seasonings can be a crucial part of a meal, turning plain food into a delicious experience. After all, sometimes we only think we don’t like certain foods because we haven’t tried them with the right seasoning! Sauces can also make it easy to throw together a great meal in a hurry. This ankake sauce takes mere minutes to defrost, and then can be immediately added for flavor to all varieties of rice or noodles, including yakisoba (pan-fried noodles) or chukasoba (ramen noodles).
How to prepare
To boil in bag: Remove from outer bag and place (still frozen, still in inner bag) in boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes. Then, simply pour the sauce onto warm rice or noodles, and enjoy.Notes: If the bag is directly touching the rim of the pot, or if the bag is sticking out or hanging out of the pot, the bag can melt and develop holes. Please boil with care. Please use caution to avoid burns while cooking.
