These pot herbs have been finely chopped into small 1 to 3 mm pieces so that they can be used immediately – no need to set aside time for washing, skinning, and mincing! The Welsh onions, garlic, and ginger are mixed at a 2:1:1 ratio, and have been packaged in three 50g bags, each conveniently sized so that it can be used in completion for one dish, preventing the buildup of partially-used bags in your freezer.
Contains only ginger, garlic, and Welsh onions that were grown on designated farms. Though their label says Chinese pot herbs, these herbs can be used to flavor not only Chinese-style cooking but a variety of other dishes as well.
This mixture of herbs serves the dual purpose of flavoring dishes and also increasing appetite. Additional health benefits include the potassium, calcium, vitamin C, and phytonutrients in garlic, and the magnesium and potassium in ginger.
How to prepare
When using the pot herbs, you can take out the portion you need without defrosting the package. The pot herbs can be used for a broad range of Chinese-style cooking, and can also be used to spice up a variety of other sauces, stews, and baked dishes. For stir fry and fried rice, the pot herbs can be used frozen. Sauté them first in oil and draw out their fragrances, then add the other ingredients to the pan. Can be used as the primary seasoning for a dish, or combined with other herbs and spices.
